Overview: What Is Wifi Gator And How Does It Work?

Wifi Gator is a Comprehensive Wifi Network Management and End User Billing System which allows you to charge money for access to your wired or wireless internet connection. It contains all of the tools you will need in order to deploy, operate and maintain a wireless network and its end users. You can create billing plans for several types of business models which include controlled free access, timed access and recurring monthly subscriptions.

The Wifi Gator Billing Server, which can either be hosted by us or hosted by yourself in your own data center,works by communicating back and forth with your wireless network equipment ( wifi routers ) to collect money from end users and control access to your networks in remote locations anywhere in the world. The entire network and the management server can be access and controlled viz web based interface from any pc with an internet connection.

The central server is what runs the Wifi Gator Program and contains the database of all of your users and other financial information regarding this network. The routers ( wireless access points and repeaters ) can be placed anywhere else in the world that is connected to the internet and do not need to reside in the same location as the server. The server resides in one location and your wifi networks can be spread about anywhere in the world and they will communicate with your main Wifi Gator Billing Server and get their instructions of how to handle each user and the routers will execute those commands from the server and allow or disallow users access to your network at the remote location.
